Review: Leopard vs Vista.

leopard-vs-vista.jpg

Recently Apple has released Leopard and amid the hype of the new Mac OS X 10.5, Mac users believe that Leopard is still a champ on many fronts, comparing to new Microsoft Window Vista.

Since I was started with Windows OS when its first came out, consider a die-hard Windows fans, I start to use Mac OS. After a year using Mac Tiger, I was impressed and decided to opt Mac as first option. As many blogs and news review on this topic, all of them come out with features chart and facts that overall points goes to Leopard. Cnet and Engadget have the review with a good chart on features compare both Leopard and Vista.

One of my office colleague, Ahmad Aidil is one of the Mac’s fan and yet he still using Windows Vista at office. Maybe he didn’t have an option as office only opt on Windows PC. Ha Haa.. But he is not the person who die-hard fan out there try to converge Windows with Mac. I know him pretty well. He rather buy a new Macs that generally cost him several hundred dollars more than Windows machine that have similar specs. Why? He pays on security and Mac was ease to use compare to Windows. Bootcamp is available to run Windows in Mac. Windows fans, however severally talks about their less-expensive systems that can run more applications and are more customizable. Ya.. its true to say that and you should not change PC to Apple Mac depend on your needs and budget as well.

There are numbers of ways to compare both OS and the comparison chart by Cnet and engagdet provide basis information. The fact is, even as much of an improvement Vista has made over XP, yet its main competitor, Mac Leopard still stacks up well and even tops Vista in several important areas. Apple Mac Leopard touts more than 300 new features while Microsoft didn’t advertise as many changes to Vista.

Apple steadily evolving the OS X 10.0 until it release the latest 10.5 Leopard, while Microsoft was waiting long to become Vista. It was obvious to say that original Longhorn OS was not happen, it took Windows Server 2003 code base & used that for the basis of Vista. The Vista – Revolution vs Leopard – Evolution!
