Today news from pocket-lint uk says that i-Phone “no longer available” in the UK.

“It seems as if the 3G iPhone might be closer than we think with the news this morning that O2, the operator partner for the device in the UK, has a page on its online shop declaring the 8GB and 16GB iPhone are “no longer available” in the UK.

The 8GB iPhone sold out due to the success of the £100 off promotion, but this is the first time that both versions are unavailable to O2 customers. On the site O2 does not give a reason for the unavailability of the devices, merely the message: “Please note: 8GB and 16GB iPhone are no longer available”. The Carphone Warehouse’s online shop also shows both versions of the phone out of stock, however, the Apple online store shows both models ready to ship in 24 hours.”

I will definately wait for the 3G iPhone. My office mate really love using it compares to other Pocket PC phone available in the market - as he quote. But if you are saying it to against to the latest HTC Touch Diamond, I will leave comment to rest of you all.

Leak memo hints for 3G iPhone - via pocket lint

American tech blog Engadget is speculating that an internal AT&T staff memo leaked to them suggests the timescale for the American launch of the 3G iPhone is between 15 June and 12 July.

AT&T is the operator-partner for the iPhone in the States and the memo requests that AT&T retail employees not take any “vacation” between 15 June and 12 July. Hyping up the speculation levels is the fact that this is apparently similar to how things worked out with the same memo that went round last year before the iPhone’s launch.

The memo, that does not mention the Apple mobile, just says the holiday restrictions are due to “an exciting Summer Promotional Launch”. Apple’s Developer Conference starts on 10 June, this is when some pundits believe Apple CEO Steve Jobs will announce the iPhone 2.0, with a launch in June, the year anniversary of the original phone’s debut, hotly tipped.
